Announcements - April 22nd

  1. THANK YOU from GALINDO…Last week we received a very nice thank you note from Ms. Longe the Galindo Librarian thanking us for the Club’s monetary contribution to purchase books for the library and for the students.   But, the best part was the students’ thank you notes that she included in the envelope…..just charming!  The children said the best part was that they each got two books to take home and keep!

  2. ROTARY Training/Leadership: Linda B, Amber and Lisa attended the District Assembly training   Saturday.  Every time I go to one of these sessions, we learn something.   Lisa attended the session on Strategic Planning and the AI session….maybe I’ll start using it!

  3. DAP –SERVICE project:       

    1. A BIG THANK YOU to all the members plus some for the 3 days’ worth of work it took to get our Adventurers Academy of Lifelong Learning project completed.

  1. The biggest Thank You must go to Jim McComb for calculating and figuring and meeting and getting all the parts for the 4 closets.   He has probably spent the better part of 50 hours putting the project together.  They now look fabulous! And will be exceptionally functional to the Adventurers.  See photos on Facebook and on our website under About Us, Photo Albums.

 

  1. The best part…..we got our DAP grant completed with 12 days to spare!
     

D. SPEAKING OF AI:  ….. Our guest, Sunil Daluvoy,  answered questions about AI and offered to be a speaker for us in the not-so-distant future.  He says, “There is so much out there that I can help members find the right tools to address whatever issues they have.  My fundamental belief is that AI will cause significant job and societal dislocation. However, all the problems caused by AI are solved by AI.  AI for the people!  My company has that as part of its mission, but we are not selling to people directly. We are infrastructure product that will allow people to own their own data.”  His new consulting firm is AutoAmerican.
