• Lisa reminds us that District Governor Todd Smith is visiting the club next week and encourages attendance.  Sherrick will have the honor of being inducted into our club by DG Todd.
  • Winners of the NoFrills Fundraiser: Jeff Christner came in first in fundraising and was presented with a $25 gift certificate to the Club Swag Store.
 
  • DAP Grant:   Lisa reminded us that the RCSA grant is $1260; w/ match ~$2500.   The project is for the repair/finish-out/shelving and stocking of a shed—Sunset Valley Elementary—to be known as Room of Requirement ---   We’ll need hands on helpers (besides the Girl Scouts).   Estimated work days will start mid-September……One of the DAP requirements is the active participation of Club Members.  Please consider assisting us.   Lisa and Jim meeting at the site with Girl Scouts and PTA this Saturday
  • Classification Talks:   Lisa is reinstituting Classification Talks starting in September. She will prepare a schedule but if you have a preferred date, let her know.   
     
  •  Lisa is ordering Rotary Basics booklets. It is a good reminder of all things Rotary and is designed to optimize our Rotary experience.   If you would like one, let her know.
     
  • Greeters are assigned in advance and are counted on to open the meeting with an invocation, lead the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four Way Test.  If you can’t make hour assigned date, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place. 
     
  • Club Social:  Inspired by today’s program we have scheduled a tour of the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum for Saturday, August 30 at noon.
