AD HOC presentation---Akins High School, Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor, Brandon Callis introduced a seven student panel of Future Farmers of America (FFA). The students chose the topic, “Can mid-level practitioners bridge the labor gap in Veterinary Medicine?”. They presented a forum on this topic to inform the public of the issue, both the pros and the cons. They had a slide presentation to go along with their oral presentation. Both were very good and very interesting! They hope to make it to the State level competitions.
DAP Grant: Todos Juntos Learning Center has moved and has several projects in mind of which we have identified a sandbox and a Lego wall. We’re getting the specific costs together to submit to the district. Their new location: First Baptist Church at Trinity & 12th St.
