On Wednesday, July 30th, four amazing South Austin Rotarians rolled up their sleeves to give a special room a magical makeover! Satch Nanda, Allison Batlin, Lisa Killough, and Shirley Diepenbrock spent the afternoon decorating and tidying up to get everything ready for an upcoming EarlyAct FirstKnight knighting ceremony.
With colorful cloth banners, laminated shields, and posterboard knights, the room was transformed into a cheerful medieval setting. A curtain rod—installed above the kitchen opening—now holds a stone and ivy wall covering, giving parents a cozy space to wait while their children are honored with certificates and medallions.

Sticky Tack and a few well-placed nails helped hold the vision together, and the result is a space that truly feels worthy of young knights-in-training!

Shirley provided the curtain rod and Sticky Tack, while other decorations came from last year's Southwest Club purchase and kind donations from Mary Reynolds, District EAFK Chair.

A big thank you to our volunteers for bringing the spirit of service and creativity to life!
