The last Wed of the month we usually do something different and today it was a “Dirty Hands” Service Project. We made 25 gift bags for the teachers at Todos Juntos Learning Center. Each gift bag contained 10 personal care items and a $15 gift card. They were tied with a ribbon and a hand written note of encouragement by the Rotary member who filled the bag. Todos Juntos is a non-profit located in South Austin that supports the academic and social well-being of immigrant and refugee families through education, empowerment and community support. This project gave us an opportunity to visit and have fun while doing something for our community!
