Our Call to Action is to “Unite For Good”. We come to Rotary meetings and events leaving things behind in the car so we can focus on coming together with our Rotary family to serve others. DG Todd’s theme for his year is “Engage with Passion”.
Engagement; 50% of Rotarians leave within 3 years of joining. We need to give them a job that they are passionate about. Passion in what you do makes the difference between a good club and a great club.
On a trip to India in 2014 to distribute the Polic vaccination to children is when District Governor Todd became passionate about Rotary. On that trip his group vaccinated 1500 children in one day. The children and their parents expressed extreme gratitude and happiness. But it doesn’t have to be a big service project to feel the gratitude of others, he sees it and feels it in all the many smaller service projects that clubs do in our District. Passion supports the Rotary Foundation and your club. Watch for the Service Texas Day coming up March 28, 2026 where you will have the opportunity to serve on one or more of the seven areas of focus service projects sponsored by the District.
