
Jerry is a native Texan. He was born in Dallas where he spent most of his childhood. At age 16, his parents relocated their business to Mineral Wells, Texas where he graduated from high school. After being discharged from the Navy, Jerry returned to Dallas where he completed his engineering studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a graduate of the Anglican School of Theology and serves as a bi-vocational Episcopal Priest in Austin.
Jerry held management positions in finance and engineering with two large technology firms. Following the death of his wife, Jerry shifted careers. He became a Certified Financial Planning practitioner.
Jerry joined the Rotary Club of North Shore Lake Travis in 2005. He served as a director, TRF Chair and president of the club. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Cedar Park-Leander.
At the district level, Jerry has served as the District Roll of Fame Chair, Assistant Governor, District Secretary, Annual Fund Chair, District Governor, and District Foundation Chair. Currently he is an Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Chair, responsible for four districts. He has been a facilitator in the Rotary Leadership Institute, and Lonestar PETS. He is a Paul Harris Society member and a Major Donor.

WHAT IS HONOR FLIGHT
National nonprofit organization comprised of independent hubs working together to achieve the Honor Flight mission.
- 128 Hubs across the country
- Staffed by volunteers
- Shared common goal
Initially focused on America's World War Il veterans, Honor Flight expanded its mission to include those who served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
- Current eligibility: Served in years 1975 or earlier
- Each eligible veteran honored on a single Honor Flight trip
HONOR FLIGHT PROCESS
- Receive and complete application (include copy of DD214)
- Receipt of Notification letter from Honor Flight Austin
- Attend Meet_N_Greet (one week prior to departure)
- Submit Medical information, Release of liability waiver, Packing List
- Assignment of Guardian (Each veteran has an individual guardian assigned)
- Receive two Honor Flight shirts and a tote bag
- Costs covered by private donations & business sponsorships ($50,000) (No cost to veterans)
- HF 93 Sponsored by Venturi Capital, Austin Depart/Return from Austin Airport (On regularly scheduled commercial flight)

28 SEPT - SATURDAY:
- 0530: Wake Up, Get Ready
- 0600: Breakfast (Bring all your belongings)
- 0715: Load Buses
- 0800 - 0840: WWII Memorial
- 0850 - 1015: Vietnam War Memorial / Korean War Memorial
- Load Buses at the Korean War Memorial
- 1030: Arrival to the Gate at Arlington National Cemetery
- 1100 - 1130: Changing of the Guard Ceremony/Wreath Laying
- 1140 - 1230: U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial) (Lunch)
- 1235 - 1315: Air Force Memorial
- 1325 - 1350: Navy Memorial
- 1400: Arrive at DCA for departure
- 1600; Flight back to Austin (Dinner served prior to Flight)
- 1830: Arrive at AUS
On the flight back they were surprised with Mail Call letters from family and friends. They arrived back in Austin with a big warm welcome with signs and some many people to greet them.
