Speaker: Katie Edwards, Exec Dir: UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum  Topic/Subject  The Vision Plan for the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum

The property is 8 acres but the two acres to the south and the historic homestead are not currently accessible. The UMPAUF received National Register of Historic Places designation in 2024.
The Vision Plan, known as Historic Preservation, Expansion, and Unification will combine all 8 acres. The Natural Zone will be returned to city as open space with interpretative spaces. The Gateway will be an entrance with restrooms, ticketing, gift shop and will lead into the gallery.  Visitors will then proceed to the sculpture garden.  The Treehouse will be a three-story building that will include additional art and sculptures.  It will provide access to the Homestead and Studio via stairs for elevator.  The home and studio will be preserved as they are.

The UMLAUF has a robust exhibition series that changes seasonally.  October 26 is their annual free, family friendly event, Strawfest.
