Whitney Myers is a personal and family historian specializing in Legacy & Tribute Films. She has helped draw out the life stories of nearly 100 people and aided them in preserving these stories & memories for families and future generations. She has studied intergenerational storytelling and reminiscence & enjoys speaking to groups about these topics. Whitney loves serving families through her filmmaking and serving the wider community as a resource for engaging in meaningful ways with the stories of our lives. Whitney's business is called Sacred Stories. Whitney is a wife and mom, and she and her family live in Circle C.
Whitey got started interviewing her husband’s 93-year-old Grandmother. She is a people person she loves building relationships. She volunteered for church and the Boy Scouts. She has interviewed over 100 people in central Texas created videos of their stories.
Steps of the Video process
Step 1 - Pre-Production
We'll meet with you to determine your project-specific scope & goals. You will complete a pre-production worksheet to help us get started and gather photographs to be used in the production phase. We'll schedule the interview.
Step 2 - Interview/Filming Day (Production)
We will conduct a personal interview with your storytellers). We provide a skilled interviewer with excellent questions to serve as your guide through the whole process. We bring professional video equipment, audio equipment, and lighting. The interview will be completed in one or two visits at a location of your choosing.
Step 3- Post Production
We will use photographs you provide, special music, and stories collected from our interview to produce a professionally edited film.
