This month, South Austin Rotary proudly shines the spotlight on long-time member Simon Garza, who has been serving our community through Rotary for an incredible 33 years.
Simon embodies the Rotary spirit—dedicated, humble, and always the first to volunteer. Whether it’s lending a hand at a community service project, helping with fundraisers, or supporting fellow Rotarians, Simon’s commitment to Service Above Self never wavers.
Simon’s passion for volunteering is an inspiration to us all. His unwavering dedication reminds us that true service isn’t about recognition—it’s about caring enough to take action.
Thank you, Simon, for your 33 years of service, leadership, and heart. South Austin Rotary is better because of you!

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment: Did I forgive? Did I love?
These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.
