Dawn Lewis, Foundation Chairman – Each year when you give $100 to the Rotary Foundation you are classified a Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member. When you give $1000 to the Rotary Foundation you become a Paul Harris Fellow and are recognized.
Diane taught Adapted Physical Education and Special Education Life Skills in Austin ISD and began to organize frequent extracurricular programs for her students, which developed into a group called “The Adventurers”. Diane retired from the district in 2012 to pursue what had become a lifelong dream: to open a program that encouraged the development of greater independence of adults with special needs, after they transitioned from the public education system. http://www.austinadventurers.org/
Satch – Thankful for his mother-in-law’s successful cancer surgery, daughter’s first car needed a new engine which he’s getting for free and they are leaving on vacation to Alaska with wife and kids.
Jose – Bertha and I celebrated our 68th wedding anniversary.
Jenny – She and her husband trained this past week for early response team for flood victim survivors at their church and now are waiting for deployment.
Mickie – spoke in Dallas at a conference whose members have donated for 15 years to the soup kitchen. They have a strong spirit of service which resembles Rotary.
