Announcements - May 14th

The club will continue to match members' donations (up to $250) with a goal of 100% participation! (Sustaining Member Club/EREY)

We received a "Thank you" email from Central Texas Food Bank expressing gratitude for our club's volunteer time.

We received a "Thank you" email from Rotary E-Club of Central Texas for our participation in their Rotary International Global Grant for an oxygen refilling plant to provide oxygen to 70 hospitals and clinics in Liberia

Induction of Fernando Kempff

Went to study in Germany engineering and worked for metal refinery and lived in Germany for 7 years. He got his graduate degree in finance at Harvard. He moved back to Boliva for 20 years and was the former Secretary of the Treasury for Bolivia.   Fernando, originally from La Paz, described how, using methods including an extreme austerity program, he was able to reduce rampant hyper-inflation in Bolivia (then an 11,000% rate) to single digits within two years.

Speaker - Rick Stacy

Joined the Rotary Club of Thibodaux, La in 1998 and moved his membership to Rotary Club of Marble Falls in 2008. He was the Club of President in 2010-11 and was Assistant Governor from 2014 to 2017. In 2018-19 he was the District Trainer and became our District Governor for the Rotary year 2020-21. Rick was President of the Hill Country Passport Rotary Club in 2023 - 24. He currently is our District's Youth Services Chair.
