South Austin Rotary’s Runway to Paradise Beach Party was a night to remember! 🌴☀️ From the beach-inspired atmosphere and festive attire to the runway fun, laughter, and fellowship, it was a wonderful evening celebrating the spirit of Rotary and our community. See the photos.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us, walked the runway, donated, volunteered, sponsored the event, and helped make the evening such a success. Your generosity and enthusiasm made the night truly special.
The funds raised through the event will help support South Austin Rotary’s local community projects and initiatives, allowing us to continue making a positive difference in the lives of people throughout our community. What started as a fun night in paradise will help create an even greater impact long after the party is over.

South Austin Rotary is all about service, community and family—and our October Member Spotlight, Amber Scarborough, embodies all three!
Amber moved from Lubbock to Austin in 2007 to begin her career as an Investment Advisor and joined the Rotary Club of South Austin shortly thereafter. Over the years, she has become a dedicated leader and passionate advocate for Rotary. Amber is a Past President, Paul Harris Fellow and Roll of Fame recipient of South Austin Rotary.
Her commitment to Rotary’s mission extends well beyond her club. From 2013 through 2024, Amber served on the District 5870 Central Texas Public Image Team, helping clubs share their stories, promote their service and strengthen Rotary’s presence in the community.
Women’s Storybook Project Jill Gonzalez is the Executive Director of the Women's Storybook Project of Texas, which connects children with their incarcerated mothers through the joy of literature. She is a children's book nerd and absolutely loves to teach through children's books. She and her husband live in Pflugerville and they both enjoy reading and singing.
Allison – Steve Ross was rocking in his Rotary to Rockstar sunglasses! For the amazing, fun, fundraiser that we had last Saturday. For the IACT “A Night Under One Sky” celebration that was held at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Tuesday - building bridges among humanity.
Lisa – for Allison’s participation at the fundraiser. And for Lisa's husband who on a fishing trip sent her a picture not of a fish but of an injury (he is alright).
