Amber and Patrick have had the idea of creating a website for custom made Rotary swag where individuals could order Rotary swag items and have them drop shipped to their homes. In the past, if you wanted club branded items you had to place a volume order of the same item in the same color and style.
Jim was born in Kennett, MO, but if you ask him, he will say he’s from St. Louis because he lived there for 25 years. His occupation was a General Contractor which is a company that brings together sub-contractors to complete a construction. In 1983 he went to work for a company and in 1986 the economy sank, so in 1987 he started his own General Contracting company and now his son, Keith, manages it. Jim has been retired for ten years now.
● Patrick Harrison - just returned from a Rotary event in Nebraska. He encourages us to visit other clubs and districts and their events. It’s so rewarding meeting other Rotarians from around the world!
● Patty Hoyt – enjoyed the Foundation Gala and especially when she bumped into Rotarians Marty and Pam Elleman who were members of the club she belonged to in California and hadn’t seen since moving to Austin!
She also shared a photo of herself and Mark Maloney together at PETS from several years ago in California. Mark, Past Rotary International President, was the keynote speaker for the Gala.
● Steve Ross – shared that his daughter, Michelle, received honors from her employer. She is training to be a veterinarian and is in the last year of internship.
● Linda Voigt – Amber saw Linda on Valentine’s Day and Linda says “Hi” and sends love to everyone.
