Supporting Local School

Built and installed a gaga pit and benches for the kids at Sunset Valley Elementary.

Built a Wheelchair Ramp

Members joined with another Rotary Club and Texas Ramp Project Austin to build a much needed ramp.

Helping the Homeless

South Austin Rotary supports a Clothes Closet and Soup Kitchen at a 170 bed transitional housing facility in southeast Austin.

She was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri
Went to the university of Missouri and graduated with a BS in civil engineering
Moved to long beach California and had children

Membership Spotlight - Patti Harrison

Member spotlight for January is Patti Harrison! South Austin Rotary is all about service, community and family! Meet Patti Harrison: I was born in Mt.Clemens Michigan. I moved to Rome NY at age two and Austin at age 10.I was married to Charlie for 47 years. He passed away summer if 2019. I have two son , Brandon and Patrick. I am a retired teacher. Sophie and Tex are my two rescue dogs. I enjoy swimming ,taking walks with my dogs and college football.

December EAFK Ceremony

“Early Act First Knight”Awards & Knighting ceremony at Wayside: Eden Park Academy on December 14th. Kids learned the meaning of the word “Acceptance”& lived it out. This is programed is sponsored by the Rotary Club of South Austin and Austin-Southwest. Great program to assist elementary age kids learn essential values.
