EAFK--- Our club has funded (as approved by the board) $2,000 for this year’s EAFK program at the Wayside Eden Academy. Next knighting ceremony is November 12th – put it on your calendar to attend!
DAP Grant: Has been cancelled due to AISD putting Sunset Valley Elementary on the closure list for next year. Now we’re working on Plan B, possibly Todos Juntos.
The Rotary Club of South Austin was recently recognized by RecognizeGood for their continued dedication to making a difference in the community. The club received a $1,000 donation and a Certificate of Appreciation in honor of the positive impact their members have created through hands-on service and local partnerships.
From supporting youth programs and addressing food insecurity to promoting literacy and community wellness, South Austin Rotarians embody Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self. This recognition highlights the club’s ongoing commitment to improving lives and strengthening the South Austin community.

Linda grew up in Kansas and enjoys reading and exercising, especially water aerobics and cycling. She has a Masters in Linguistics and taught ESL to Saudi students in Wisconsin and Los Angeles, and later taught at the University of Kuwait.
Mickie is so very grateful for the 2000 bottles of water that was donated by her Indian friends, but she couldn’t use that many so she is donating 1,000 of them to the Angel House Soup Kitchen.
