Service To Our Community

  • Mickie reported that everyone connected with Common Ground ATX/Soup Kitchen are very grateful for the $400 cash, socks, clothes and shoes that we collected and donated. They were able to provide a delicious Christmas dinner and lots of joy!
  • Jenny reported that she is working on a day for us to work at the Central Texas Food Bank soon.
  • The District Wide Texas Service Day will be March 28.  Our club is looking for a service project to do on that day.  Please send any ideas to Jenny Turney.

  • Patty Hoyt – received a wonderful gift from her husband, Jim, a visit to any spa of her choosing in Austin!
  • Mickie Powers – she spent three days at Christmas with her brother and they didn’t fight!
  • Sherrick West– he completed his first year as District Executive for Scouting America in the Capitol Area council’s Thunderbird District!  Congratulations Sherrick!
  • Amber Scarborough – is sad for the passing of Fernando Kempf and for his family, especially for his daughter-in-law, Christine Kempff who is an active Rotarian at both the club and district level and good friend.
